Before thinking about doing this one you had better read the terms in full- including the DRM sections. Even when they say "purchase" it isn't a purchase. You own nothing. Then combine it with the usual horrible privacy policy typical of online music sites and why bother?

Good site but a friend tol me kazaa is better format for iPad, so I am trying it now. Love it so far. I heard kazaa used to be sketchy like old napster, but now it is legal and has a ton of great music, doing the free trial now, but even the sub rate is good, so I might keep it.

The instant after I accepted their T&Cs their free trial installation software overwrote my Lenovo Laptop HDMI port audio & video device settings and software. To get back my HDMI I had to re-install windows 7 (the full overwrite procedure) and then wait for 81 updates to process. Enough said.

Naturally you can go ahead and steal music, but this service provides high quality streaming access to an incredible amount of music, custom blogs, PDA support. Great client software, the iTouch client is on its way, otherwise a java applet accessed from rhapsody.com . "Impossible to cancel" is more accurately described as pester-cancellation : phone call required. I try and cancel every few months just to get the free time. To address "free" : the service offers 20 free listens a month. Whip out a credit card and it's a 30 day free trial. Rhapsody is solid.
