Edit ***** - Now I trust Ich habe mit dem Betreiber einige Mails gewechselt. Darin wies ich ih n explizit auf die robots.txt hin und dass ich nicht möchte, dass der Bot meine Seite scannt. Als es doch weiter ging, habe ich ihm die Logs gesendet, demit er seine Bots komplett von meiner Domain weghalten kann. Er hat sich korrekt verhalten und geantwortet. Sein Bot hörte schon am nächsten Tag mit dem Scannen auf und ich erhielt danach noch einmal eine Entschuldigung von ihm. Der Betreiber verhält sich also korrekt, sobald man Kontakt zu ihm aufnimmt

Para mi Semrush es una de las herramientas imprescindibles dentro del SEO y que tienes que utilizar sí o sí si te dedicas a este sector por lo completa que es. This company employs a malicious web crawler that hammers web sites with many requests in rapid succession. It also appears to ignore robots.txt since I added a disallow (copy/pasted from their bot info page) and the bot continues to crawl my site. Their bot info page on their site states "If you believe that our bot DID NOT obey your 'robots.txt' commands, then please let us know via email" so they can "fix" it. They also ask you to not block their IPs because it will be "in vain."
