The website its self is safe, as for the downloads it depends on what it is you are downloading. I've downloaded plenty of games in the past and even in the present from Softonic and so far no viruses or anything wrong with my laptop. I will admit once I downloaded something a while back I ended up having unwanted toolbars and one other program installed on my computer even after I unchecked for them NOT to be downloaded on my device, I still can't uninstall one of them to this day. But overall great website to download things from. Just be cautious peeps.
