I too rate this site as unsatisfactory for the most part, because of the pop up that asks for your email address when you attempt to download a file. Although they do provide an option to skip that step, I find it creepy that they ask in the first place. I personally would not download software from this site, although some of the files are legitimate well known programs. There are too many legitimate, safe download sites out there. Every file I looked at was for XP or older. To be fair, I must admit I never actually downloaded or tried to run anything from here. They do use Google syndication, and analytics, for whatever that is worth.
