How am I supposed to trust this site? It has a high WOT rating. Many comment that it is useful and informative - which it may well be - but why, then, does it allow scripts from so many companies with lousy WOT ratings? I just encountered high ratings for Newsmax, too, a site which is touted as independent and objective, but the comments about it are not trolls, but people with VERY bad, PERSONAL experiences there. Moreover, anyone can quickly learn that it touts writings from such thoroughly biased and neocon people as Bill O'Reilly. So the comments gain credibility from that much alone, and the WOT rating loses most of its credibility. Independent and objective Newsmax is NOT. Yet it has a high rating. If WOT can be bought, where do people turn next for help to protect themselves online? At least, bought or not, they haven't yet reached the point of blotting out all negative comments. In due time, they may, though. I'm losing respect for WOT rather rapidly. No high rating should EVER go to any site that allows scripts from companies that are disreputable. They should get high reputations, not just for the help and info they offer, themselves, but for what they allow - and don't allow - to have effects on their readers and subscribers. Just maintaining a high standard of integrity for themselves isn't NEARLY enough. It could merely be being used as a means to get "at us" through the disreputable people who inject invasive/abusive scripts while we visit their "reputable" site. Those invasive/abusive sites can only access us with the permission of the site we're visiting, and they reflect the "company they keep." It can't be any other way. This site KNOWS the nature of the scripts, and has allowed them.
