Suddenly completely out of the blue this program was installed on my mac immediately starting to scan my damn computer and it came up with over 1000 issues being wrong on my mac in less than 10 seconds. I'm not afraid of software claiming in their TOS that they will in no way be held liable for any damages even if they are aware of the possibility of such damages. If you want software with no such claims, simply buy a computer with an empty hard drive and never install anything on that (not even any OS), as nearly all software (even from big companies such as MicroSoft) have similar statements in their TOS. (Sorry, but I had to put something straight after reading a few reviews here). But software being installed without my asking coming up with so many issues in such a short amount of time is a different story. It is possible this is indeed a just piece of software, who knows, but the way I obtained it and the way it was working on me got me distrusting. I must have made a mistake with a certain download site as I believe Google was misguided on me when I was looking for a good version of a certain (trustworthy) program. Reminded me that I should always double-check the sites google sends me to when I look for something to make sure that I really ended up on the true official download site.

This application just appeared one day on my computer as I was updating some software. Looked interesting but then I could tell right away it was a scam. After doing research to justify my claim it turned out that this company and this program is BS. Don't ever trust some weird APP like this to clean your computer. You don't know what it's doing. It can be a privacy matter as well. People say it's impossible to uninstall once on your computer but that is false. Simply go to the HELP tab and click UNINSTALL.

The software provided by this site is a scam, claiming that Macs need maintenance that is not actually required and attempting to scare users into purchasing it. It is also distributed unethically by adware installers. TuneUpMyMac should be avoided at all costs!

once installed virtually impossible to remove. falsely states "free" but in fact not usable without credit card info and charge. Downloads from CNET when user clicks on Chrome Beta download! Users are advised to stay clear of this site!!!! Cannot understand why CNET would tolerate its persistence on their site.
