Once upon a time, that was long ago, started receiving spams to an e-mail, that was never submitted to two, have not registered with it and I keep receiving emails although I unsubscribed. Very poor experience.
Spam received on an address originally used for MSN messenger, a former contact has signed up with TWOO and it's harvested their address book to use for spamming. The former contact would definitely not be trying to send me the invite!
It's a simple dating website, very functional, seems to have many members and moderators respond quickly.
There's no question which organisation is behind the site, heck they're located barely 20km away from me.
However, many things make it untrustworthy.
- One click payment: no confirmation whatsoever; users are mislead into thinking they can close and reject automatically renewing subscriptions by clicking "ok" on the modal dialogs.
- MANY members have not visited the site in ages, crosschecking against other websites such as Facebook reveals some members have married years ago!
- Attempts to lure you into renewing a subscription with fake claims such as "see your new x visitors" and "you have new messages, extend subscription to read/reply"
It's all about cashing in on people's emotions and impulsivity.
This site is promoting Scam, fraudulent and suspicious activities. A lot of fake female accounts asking for prepaid recharge cards in return to sending their mobile number for a later arrangement for sex. Of course if you are one of the users who buy such thing, you never hear from her (maybe him and you will never know) ever again and she will deactivate her account in 24-48 hours to surface again with same set of photos and different username. The big issue is when I tried to report similar users, Twoo would always claim that the mentioned user is no longer active on Twoo and then you can find that same user after few hours active. I do strongly believe that the site is promoting personally these acts of Scam and fraud.
This site basically took over the old Formspring site. But I did NOT log in to my exsisting account there. Glad I didn't, because I did some searching and found out some of the same things others have commented on.
Found my girlfriend through this site and we are together for more than 2 years now. You do get emails of potential matches, but it's easy to unsubscribe.. anyways if you're single you still want to be informed of people you might like
