It is a member of the Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP) and is very reliable. Safe website and products, highly recommended.

VIPRE is a very, very thorough Anti-Virus, although... sometimes it can be TOO thorough, blocking websites no matter how small a threat it is, and that can be very annoying. VIPRE is more for the advanced anti-virus users or at least people who don't want ANY sign of ANYTHING dangerous trying to get on their computer. Compared to A.V.G., VIPRE was able to detect worms while A.V.G. did not... just for the record, but VIPRE is extremely useful depending on how much security you want. But I would still recommend A.V.G..
