The Webjam Team have just come across the Web of Trust and have realised to our great dismay that Webjam has had a number of issues and complaints. We are treating these issues very seriously and resolving them is a priority for us. First and foremost, we want to make things right. To give you some background and information — not excuses — we want you to know that as of late 2010, Webjam has a completely new management team, who are all dedicated to providing not only an exceptional product but exceptional service as well. To clarify what’s been affecting our reputation on Web of Trust: • Webjam is a hosting website which provides website building functionalities. • Webjam does not insert the content that goes into each individual website. • The only content Webjam can be responsible for is the content which is on our own company website. • All content that has been regarded as a ‘violation’ has been posted by users that we cannot take responsibility for. • Regrettably, there are a group of users who use Webjam as a pass-through website for their domains — which ultimately results in negative attention being directed to the Webjam website — and this is what has unjustly been affecting Webjam’s reputation. There are a few technical issues that are currently being resolved, once completed, the opportunity for rogue users to utlise Webjam will be closed down —and we are doing everything we can to put this right as soon as possible For the time being, we suggest that you get in touch with the owners of the webpage / website that are violating privacy and copyright laws. If they fail to respond to you, please contact us and we will then: • Contact them ourselves to ask them to comply with privacy and copyright laws. • If those efforts are unsuccessful, we will then remove the website and user from Webjam. Going forward, we are very proud that the vast majority of Webjam users have had a great experience with Webjam, and we hope that you’ll give us another chance to show you what a great resource Webjam can be for you. This is a social site, and as such is only as good as the people who use it. I have my business website here and have never had a problem with them insisting on personal info or downloading anything unwanted, of course, I voluntarily gave them a certain amount of info to set up a business site. I was phished by another user of the site on one occasion. I reported them within hours of getting the email and was promptly informed the user had already been blocked and banned. I must also qualify my comment - I have my site and a couple others here that I visit from time to time, but I don't explore extensively. In what roaming I've done I have never encountered anything unpleasant or unacceptable, but I have only visited a fraction of the whole network. My communications with the personnel, however, have always been prompt, courteous and helpful. In what _I_ have experienced thus far, there is nothing negative about this site.

Engaged in Browser and Desktop Hijacking through exploits of Fraudulent Security Software, Spamming, and stealing personal information through not just keyloggers, but through extortion by holding your PC for ransom until you give them your personal info, otherwise you can't leave their site or close your browser, nor do anything else with your PC. This site violates the Privacy Act and needs to be shut down.

This group has been censored several times for violation of the privacy act. Posting people on the banned list real time names on the net placing them in harms way of internet predators. Be careful of this group and do not reveal any personal information. I was/am a victim of this group and my personal info was placed in pdf files offered for download on 2 of their sites I was able to have closed. You may not be so lucky. Proceed with caution if you value your privacy.
