This site pretends to be a regional journalism site for East County in California. While some of its articles are relatively unbiased, in the area of wind energy it is deeply one-sided and regularly publishes deeply inaccurate material. It publishes material on wind development regularly. The news site is unique in that it regularly testifies against wind energy at hearings rather than reporting on the proceedings. The editor of the site is in regular contact with anti-wind lobbyists such as Sarah Laurie of Australia and Wind Concerns Ontario, both of which have deeply counter-factual and stridently anti-wind energy views. The site dislikes commenters who challenge their point of view on wind energy and has banned at least one on spurious charges of racist comments, a charge which is both very serious and unsupported by the comments made.
