Used to be that the free version worked.
Now you need to pay $50 for a half-working program. Free is unusable. Only five rooms, 15 objects, 20 sprites, unusable for semi-serious development. Yoyogames, you have ruined your software forever.

I bought game maker pro, but a few days later its switched back to lite. After a long time i got it again. Nowi t again changed to lite. So, DONT BUY GAME MAKER they just want money and then they change it back to lite so you have to buy again.

Game Maker is getting harder once you try to make more advanced games. Then you have to change the code all the time until it works and so on, but Game Maker is AWESOME!!!

Really good software, used Gamemaker 7 for a project at college, I made a game simlar to Nokia Bounce, my friends made other games like Mario.

Game maker is pretty fun, but BE CAREFUL OR PICK A DIFFERENT SITE! The site seems to have good intentions but I have found a couple viruses on it in the past.

I have been using game maker and the yoyo games' site for the last couple of months and have no real complaints. My only real issues are:
1. The app for firefox doesn't seem to work well on my computer, but it did on my last computer so this may be an issue with windows 7.
2. When I hit the "contact us" button to report this error it took me to a page saying "FAQ have been forwarded to Wiki" with a link to a page that didn't even mention this problem.
Other then that i have no complaints, only nice things to say and really that is just nit picking
