I wouldn't trust it based on it's history of adware and it's misleading privacy policy which claims to protect users- and then seemingly with every passing paragraph to get worse.
Was asked to re-evaluate the reputation for this site.
I totally remember this site to contain malwares and viruses. I made the mistake of installing the software. But that was three years ago.
Currently, this site is not blacklisted and the downloads are not blocked by Kaspersky or Malwarebytes. I installed the software and it 'seems' fine. I am still not sure if the site, and their software, is like what it used to be years ago.

Hello, I was asked to re-evaluate this site, so I decided to do so. The site itself is pretty clean. The only bad thing is the desktop toolbar. Otherwise the site is OK. This toolbar that they have is uninstall-proof, making it seem malicious.
Babylon Software Ltd. has changed owners and there is no Babylon toolbar anymore.
Anyway I think I made a mistake by rating their website, their service only because of a toolbar being bundled in 3rd party installers. Google does/was doing the same.
I have corrected my ratings as this website is completely legit, contains no malware and is safe for children.
You can't uninstall their software properly!
The site offers 'free translator' --- along with free virus and malware!
They hijack your browser and fill your computer with useless software and malware... (Just watch your browser homepage
and random toolbars being installed)
This website should be shut down for distributing malicious content !
At first it seems like Babylon Translator is a good translating tool, but once you download it, potentially unwanted programs are downloaded as well. Babylon Translator is known for installing the Babylon Toolbar, which hijacks your browser. This means that your default home page and search will be taken away, and you will be left with Babylon Search. The search page contains ads from malicious websites, and the toolbar is annoying.
When I first tried this program it was because it had been sneaked in with other unwanted sites when I downloaded a program.
Then it started changing things without my permission, taking over my default settings for itself. Then it tried to get me to buy their upgraded version. I was fed up and uninstalled it. Then months later, I was looking in my files and it had not uninstalled it just hid its location. Who knows what it was doing but I had to delete it file by file and I found their files in places that they had no business being. So it really surprised me when the WOT listing showed Good when everything that I have experienced and everything that I read on WOT concerning Babylon was negative. What is going on?! I think what might have happened is that after people wrote their experience down they saved it and forgot to change the rating on the bars. This is what I almost did.
Firefox hat eine extra Anleitung, wie man die Einstellungen von Babylon wieder rückgängig macht: "How to remove the Babylon toolbar, home page and search engine". - das sagt schon alles.
