The extent of tracking conducted by Microsoft on its Bing site is dramatically obscured. The Bing Rewards system is fully integrated to comprehensive user surveillance across all user computing experience, including on their own device with applications entirely unrelated to Bing. The nature of Microsoft disclosures is such that to be clear and fair they should simplify all the strains of legalese to something like "We will track you everywhere, doing everything, even when you are not using our services and we will do with your information anything we want. If you don't like, bugger off."The site is also genuinely unethical in that it effectively steals content and repackages it as its own framed with its own ads. It is not simply displaying search results, but packaging them, for example slide shows of other peoples images, which when clicked on do not take the user to the original site but provide an enlarged view of the image. Anyone who did this with Microsoft content would find themselves on the bad end of a big law suit.It simply cannot be rated as other than untrustworthy.
It is a good search engine. I like the fact that it allows robots to crawl its search results. This has allowed me to get a good list of starting sites to index for my search engine project.
i was looking for a website i played a few years ago and somehow i randomly searched on bing when google is the default search engine. i noticed all my extensions were gone except for adblock and the new tab page had bing search on it. i had to reset chrome and get the wallpaper back, along with the extensions. i got some back since i cant remember all of them. i also had a board on the extension note board that took me a few months to make. when i got note board back i saw that my board was gone and it made me feel heartbroken. i had videos and playlists on there and i barely remember any of them. i really don't know how bing itself managed to do this, my guess is someone probably hacked it. this happened yesterday but its all good, i just miss my board.
I like bing, though I know that google tracks what you do if you are signed in to any kind of google account. However, it is the best search engine, in my opinion. So I will continue to use it.
A search engine that provides results. It gives gift cards for searching (see below link) but at the moment is working on providing more and better results which is keeping it from the competitive edge of Google the King. Has spam issues at times so be wary of search results but its greatly improved.
