Official website of the very good CDBurnerXP, which is a CD/DVD burning free software.
Like a lot of other free software, watch out for third-party programs during the installation. But if you know, like me, how to read and untick unwanted tickboxes, you'll be alright!

if instead of starting the installation of the package, if you first extract it with Universal Extractor then delete the dll in the folder {tmp}, you end up with a software that looks clean, at least to virusscan.jotti.org.

Ich muß leider feststellen, das die Installationsdatei dieses Programmes die Adware OpenCandy enthält.
Ich habe absolut kein Interesse, diesen Werbeschmarn nachher mühsam wieder von meinem System zu entfernen.
Ich hatte fix vor, dieses Tool zu installieren, sehe nun aber davon ab und bleibe bei einer proprietären Brennsoftware.

This site offers a free, safe, and excellent program for burning CDs. For anyone complaining about OpenCandy, click on the downloads tab, which is somewhere in the top right corner of the main page. Then, click on the "more download options" button right under the "download latest version" button. You should then see a download option that's labeled as "Default Installer (Without OpenCandy)."

The default installer on the main page contains OpenCandy, but it has another installer without OpenCandy which is the one I recommend you download. You can also download the portable which is the one I REALLY recommend.
CDBurnerXP is a great burning application that can make cds, dvds, data discs, burn isos to a disc, and even create your own ISOs. This is really the only disc burning application you'll ever need.

Excellent free CD-/DVD-burning program, has all the features you might need while still being quite small an install, is updated regularily, and is easy to use. Website is clean, clear, without any malicious things, apart from a couple of ads.
