This is the worst site I’ve ever used. They vanished after taking my money. I switched to Joren Vale and I wish I’d done it sooner. He’s fast, transparent, and reliable. Everything I’ve ordered from Joren has arrived without any issues.
This is a great directory site to find a doctor or specialist in your local area. The ability to narrow down your search for accepted Insurance companies is very useful. A great resource when you need to find a new doctor.
Amazing, organized directory for any kind of doctor you could need. You can view the doctors in your area, and even select by ones that take your health insurance. Very easy to navigate.
This is one of the most user-friendly directories I have come across. The new homepage is extremely efficient and I am able to generate a list of fairly rare specialists that accept my insurance plan within seconds. (I was very surprised to find so many within close proximity to my home). I would recommend this site to a friend.
I needed a dermatologist and had no idea where to go, so I went to Doctor.com. I was able to sort for a dermatologist in my local area and that took my insurance. I was provided a list of options and was able to thumb through images, reviews of qualifications of each Doctor. I ended up selecting one dermatologist that I have now used multiple times. Great service.
This is a site providing a listing of doctors and services, but not much else and that is appropriate. There is no medical advice offered on the site and no attempts to charge for the basic information. (Apparently, income is from advertising that appears in the side panels. Presumably providers who want to edit or add information also can do this at some cost to them,)
One gets basic information about doctors from the search features provided. Site has collected publicly available information about individual medical practitioners and provides it for free. The feature providing "Ratings" of doctors is useless. There is a "login" option that I did not use. It sets about a dozen cookies on my visit but I have no basis to judge if they are inappropriate.
Overall, it is hardly a quality site, but apparently not malicious. This is a site designed to make money by getting a lot of traffic based on Internet searches involving doctors. It does this with the most basic information and if that is all you want, then you are fine.
I rate it as unsuitable for children because the information provided is very superficial and not carefully screened for accuracy and it is not likely that a child would have the experience necessary to prevent misinterpreting the information.
Phishing scam. Someone at "UNITED NATION" says I must send them USD 350 so they can send me a Visa card worth USD 1,500,000:
"We have waited for you to get in contact with us for your ATM Visa Card worth the total sum of $1,500.000.00. (One Million, Five hundred Thousand United State Dollars), Which you can withdraw your Fund at any ATM Machine in your location Worldwide, with maximum daily limit amount of USD$15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand United States Dollars) Hence you are willing to claim your Winning Fund.
Note that the delivery charges of your ATM VISA CARD has already being paid, Apart from the Security Keeping Fee and insurance clearance, which is to be paid due to your delay in contacting this office for claim of your ATM VISA CARD Winning Fund."
came across doctor.com while looking for my dentist's phone number -- when i saw the domain and that it was listed as unsafe by the wot, my curiosity won and i checked it out.
not sure why everyone is in such an uproar about it, i didn't see anything weird, just the profile and some ads.
