Keep away! Annoying fake downloads packed with a mix of viruses, malware, adware, trojans, pup This site is a large-scale malware / virus generator and distributor. Although the site itself is not listed and rated badware, their behaviour is obvious if any download is scanned. This is how the site "works": – they index everything to seemingly provide promising downloads – downloads involve multiple steps while requiring user interaction and javascript – each time a visitor downloads anything, a new random cocktail of badware is generated (therefore with new checksums to evade instant detection) – if a user is careless or unaware, the fake downloader installs its badware Other sites, e.g ***** that are involved in the download process are flagged as malicious by Dr. Web for a good reason.

This site, incredibly, was offering download of the exact OEM software that I was searching for (DuckDuck), TWICE. First was "QosmioPlayer", a Toshiba TV viewer/recorder that was bundled with XP age Lappies having TV hardware built in. I became a little suspicious when what they sent was labelled "ToshibaQosmioPlayerUtility_downloader-IfFA9GUX2.exe" and only 290KB small. Obviously a downloader for my prize. Odd procedure to me. Anyhoo, I found another aged Toshiba Qosmio OEM app I wanted to try, "WinDVR", a TV recorder. DuckDuck came back with this site at the top again, "WOW, they must specialize in Drivers and bundled apps from the main manufacturers", I thought. I got "WinDVR_downloader-IcUyE8h3K.exe" this time. ("What's that 9 figure hash on both files names", I wondered.) I ran QosmioPlayer, (in Sandboxie, thank goodness), and all seemed OK for about 10 secs. A couple of requests for web access followed by a FEW very clearly FALSE opportunities to refuse installation of something called "wajam" and also a search provider I've not heard of nor want to install. I said "FALSE" because I was given no real chance to decline and when I decided "enough" and blocked the internet, the installer began throwing up repeated and various attempts to "dial out", no doubt for more Toolbars to flood my system with Malc... Oh, I did get a piece of software purporting to be QosmioPlayer; NAAH!!! similar name but nothing like and inactive... AVOID these "artists" unless you relish a major infestation...

I downloaded Comodo firewall 6.0 64 bit but it was not the right file size and if you download directly from ***** there is no seperate 64 bit downloader.The Comodo file size on ***** is 127 Mb and the file size on this site was 40 something Mb's.It was also flagged by Norton AV that it has no reputation.It was way to suspicious to even think about running on my system.So use this site with caution.
