Too much spam and invasive applications.

Certain apps known to install toolbars/etc. when used. I keep having to remove the MyWebSearch bar and related junk from a couple of other computers from people who use the site. A good reason why I avoid it myself.

Good for keeping up with the Jones's, however, too many complete strangers consider it okay to chat to people of a considerable age gap. Persons under the age of 15 should definitely hold off, there really is no rush for such thing. It is however relatively safe. You can display as much or as little information about yourself, and others cannot view such information without having first had their "friend request" accepted. However, photographs of yourself are always visible to strangers. I find this creepy... a lot of elderly men have requested my friendship on facebook recently...

I'm not sure what category to assign, but I feel it necessary to lower my previous ratings for Facebook in light of the many ads and other junk making it's way through the site. It's no longer the same safe place.

This is not a site to let your kids on honestly. I think it is idiotic to allow your "child" to use this until at least they enter High School. Also there are a good number of privacy issues for people who are under aged.

It's quite open for anyone to view anything, not alwyas suitable for young children.

This is one the few social networking sites that you can google and see what privates messages you've sent to others, what a shame on privacy!
