In all honesty, Facebook is getting a little too nosy with their more recent apps such as the relatively new messenger that they require you to install on your mobile devices- Many friends of mine have had people they've never mentioned outside of the messenger's voice chat, and had no mutual friends, with begin showing up on their recommended-friends list. The website is, for the most part, trustworthy, though I recommend that you watch carefully for what Facebook requires permission for- desktop and mobile.
I have also marked Facebook for spam, discrimination, religion, politics, and malware due to the obscene [IMO] amount of game invites and newsletters showing up on news feeds, even for blocked games in many cases, as well as the many people trying to convince others that their way of thinking is the only way a person should- though this is purely reliant on who the user allows to show up in their feed. Malware is marked due to many Facebook web-apps recently becoming security threats, and many people (such as my family members, friends, and even a handful of strangers I've talked to) reporting that Facebook is one of the few, if not the only, sites they bother using. Almost all of these people have reported their computer getting slower each time they use Facebook, and not speeding back up after they exit out, restart their computers, or do maintenance. In some cases, some people have reported getting malware from certain facebook apps.
Be careful with what you do while on Facebook- It's a useful site for staying in touch, but recently it's become a lot less innocent than it looks.
[As a side note, I'm sorry for this being the same comment as below. I wasn't logged in separately at the time and I wanted to retain the comment and rating on my account.]
По-моему нормальный сайт, пользуюсь для общения с зарубежными друзьями,ничего противозаконного не встречала, правда для меня не очень удобный интерфейс,но это дело привычки.
Facebook is a great social networking website when it comes to being able to share things about yourself to your friends and talk to other people and post photos.
However...... I suggest being careful about the personal info that you put on the website as identity theft can happen.
Spam, ads/pop-ups can happen via third party Facebook apps and links if users aren't careful what they visit while on Facebook.
Phishing can happen with suspicious third party Facebook apps.
Facebook isn't friendly for kids (technically, the minimum age is legally 13+ to sign up for Facebook). There could be potential nudity, drugs, alcohol and sex if kids aren't careful who they decide to friend online and socialize.
