i suppose facebook is a good site on the whole but does have massive privacy risks. I personally wouldn't let children use it un supervised at least as people who they don't know can message them.

It's social media, so (almost) anybody can share (almost) anything, so the content has a very high chance of being opinion-filled and/or false.
The underlying service, however, is good and generally trustworthy (though they have in the past use some questionable experimenting with how they determine what goes in your News Feed), but they do track your activity to help improve their ad revenue.

The privacy options are wonderful on this site. As long as your not sharing your profile or personal information with people you don't know. I have never been hacked or spammed yet, due to the privacy settings. However there are way too many adult pictures, comments. Graphics on Facebook. Children should not be allowed on the site. Stricter age limits and a way to check people's real ages need to be implemented.

Although Facebook can be a good way to catch up with old friends online, but several 3rd party apps have too much privacy issues that could potentially lead to phishing and identity theft.

PrizeRebel is a scam! As soon as I earned my $5 Amazon card, they blocked my account the very next day and did not give me my gift card after spending hours doing surveys, etc. They said I had multiple accounts which was a lie. I only had the one account which is my outlook email address. This was my first and only time on the site. It is a scam!
