Overall, the site has offered satisfactory service. However, when it comes to customer service, this site gets an "F" rating. GMX customer service is almost non-existent. If you have any trouble with your account, you are on your own with no help from so-called tech support or customer service.

The entire service is in BETA and they do not explain that in any way on their sign up page. Today, I cannot sign in .. due to 'technical issues'. Had I known this was a BETA service, I would never have chosen it for my primary email service. Also ..there is misleading offers such as "Unlimited email storage and attachments up to 50 MB." It is probably a grammatical issue, but a 50MB limit is not UNLIMITED. I suppose they mean unlimited storage of EMAILS .. but only 50MB max of email attachments. Still .. it is misleading.

This is just a web mail site. You may get some spam from any web mail site. I would ignore the comments about this being a place for spam as anyone can send spam from any email account, with some restrictions, of course, on the number sent out at any given moment. Consider it the same as GMail.

I set up an email account with gmx.com and they blocked it less than two hours later, after I had sent two messages. Emails sent to their support team with my customer ID and complaint from another account have gone unanswered. If they ever unblock the account I will delete it. Addition: ***** -- I decided to create another gmx,com account and leave my ad blocker turned off... this one has so far not been blocked. I am cautiously optimistic that gmx may turn out to be OK, but only time will tell if this is to be the case.
