Recently the game SiN was added to their games catalogue, a mature game with adult oriented content, which is not necessarily a problem in and of itself. However, it chooses to publish a screenshot picture which does contain nudity (though slightly pixelated) of a real woman, not just an artists' impression. I emailed the site my concern and to ask for an age-gate to which they replied: " It is there to show that the game is uncensored (as opposed to the Steam version) and no, we are not removing it, the game is for adults anyway." There are simple manners of showing that the game is uncensored (such as a label) without publishing the uncensored material directly, so I feel this was inappropriate. I have had concerns with gog.com embracing adult oriented content before (such as publishing gore pictures), but this one definitely crosses an acceptable line of decency. I have other concerns about gog.com, mostly to do with their amateurish ways of publishing, however none of them are truly egregious. I would warn however, that some of their games do not work as expected or advertised, though I will concede that they do make an effort to fix them. But really, more play-testing should be done before they release the product and without such it becomes a situation of buyer-beware. A specific product that I have had problems to deal with is Simon the Sorcerer for the Mac (the screen is shifted). They have created a 30-day money back guarantee in recognition of these issues, so make sure to play and thoroughly test the game before that period is up. I find that not all of their drm-free ideology is completed to fruition within their game code or with certain policies that gog.com and EA enforces through a necessary checked agreement on a terms agreement, so I do not consider their 100% DRM-free claim to be valid. A last complaint is that I don't believe they give sufficient credit where it is due. Particularly with the use of WINE through Wineskin. They did not approach doh123 (the creator) before publishing a game which used it (though they do publicly acknowledge her now) and I feel that they should be submitting test examples to ***** as they are using the WINE community's work and are most likely using users' test examples to create their wrappers.

Although the games provided are DRM-Free, the prices seem to constantly change which means that you may pay one price one day and then the very next day the game is cheaper than what you paid the day before, in addition of receiving other bonuses, that may not have been available prior to that. GOG-Support seems to be unwilling, or possibly unable, to help when people catch these discrepancies.

A good place to get older (and some newer indie) PC video games. DRM Free makes this site even sweeter because back in the day when these games were released, there was no such thing as DRM. I have not had any issues with ads or male ware or anything of the kind from this site and I recommend any series old school gamer to check this site out and not to be afraid to make a purchase.

Good games (both old and recent), very clean installers, no bullshit, no DRM. The game are very well packaged, even the DOS games (They come with pre-configured DosBox). They often come with bonuses: wallpapers, musics, making-of, avatars... You can *really* install offline, and as many time as you want. GOG won't screw you. They are the good guys of game publishing.
