Customisable widget-based personalised account pages, folders, sharing, storage space and more. Cons: Proprietary gateway to all Android devices, Tedious management of account settings, Persistent opt-in to new (sometimes invasive) features, Annoying CSS pop-ups for surveys which can't be turned off and persist even after submitting a survey and, last but not least, the risk of placing all of one's proverbial eggs into one basket. Mitigating Factors: Some of the 'Cons' can be negated with browser extensions (such as "AdBlock," "Grease Monkey," etc.) that actively filter content displayed through the browser view. This rating was applied to a specific google group blogger site and not google overall. Contained hidden browser exploit with a redirect that claimed it was google earth but lead to another Chinese web site that I blocked before allowing the connection. Please be careful. These people do not play fairly.

What did we do before Google came along????? Lots of good FREE apps, too (I like Adblock the best). I only use MSIE now when I need to coordinate with Norton Utilities. My only criticism of Google is that I can't use Norton with it. Google, y'all are smart--please make it possible for these two programs to work together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
