iolo.com é seguro?

Went to *****  They had a six month give-away trial for System Mechanic.  Went through all the time and trouble of downloading.  Went to Iolo's give-away page and put in my email for it.  They sent me back a sorry key for 30 day trial.  No where near the six months they promised.  This company is apparently trolling for email addresses to spam.  Do not trust!!!

Apparently this is the feast of site creations including fake sites for spam, scams, advertising to sell us their crap and pollute the planet with electric resources wasted! F*cking capitalism! F*ck OVH and other spamer's hosts! And address of sh*t again! One day, the number of Internet domains used for SPAM extensively exceed the number of useful internet domains, like the number of SPAM received which represents 90% of e-mails that are received in the world! The capitalists are real r*tten! Bought their software. On a fully updated fresh install it caused Explorer to crash every file moves and copies were attempted. Once system self-recovered merely selecting a file in Explorer would already cause same problem. Their support staff suggested I turn off Explorer integration (known bug still not fixed months later) which makes some claimed features unusable and Eplorer totally unusable. Uninstalling instantly fixes Explorer, re-installing causinstant return of faults. Definately not worth the 24.88 Euros.I paid at the time. Nil refund would be considered by Iolo as I could still "... re-install it with my Activation key...." after the refund. Since it made my computer virtually unusable, why would I ever want to keep using it? (note - I also intalled it on 2 other computers when they refused a refundto see if it was specific to my 1st system and they instantly experienced identical faults.

I have an old laptop running XP that I recently resurrected thinking I was doomed (single core processor, 1GB RAM). Installed System Mechanic, found it so good upgraded to Professional and now I have a very practical computer that is kept lean and mean. Highly recommend it.

scareware 'System Checkup' is being distributed by a number of of companies inc. Dell & Adobe. running this program WILL find problems on your pc. And will offer to fix them for the low price of £24.99. On my pc 390 Critical errors were discovered !!! IF I had 'fixed' these errors according to iolo recomendations a number of programs on my pc would not longer work (it recomends changng many file associations to open with 'notepad), it would also stop mucrosoft update from working as it recomends removing the update site from the trusted list. Highly dubious software. I personally would not use ANY software from a company like this, and be suspicious of any organisation that recomends it.

They make scareware software that's referred to as "System Checkup", and Adobe promotes their software when updating Flash Player. They call it a "FREE" System Health Check". Much like the other scareware software that has infested the Internet, this software reports NON-EXISTENT and exaggerated errors on your PC, and then promises to magically cure your PC for a FEE! I agree with their A1 status. System Mechanic has come to my rescue on more than one crash or nutty computer occasion. It maintains every aspect of my system "hands off" and more. I do not have to remember to do anything do anything. I can interfere, using the "custom" facilities, if I want to have a look. It has a habit of nagging me until I agree to do what it wants to do. It has the "ring of confidence" about it. I have bought and discarded other "maintenance" suites, but this one I am sticking to. It makes no exaggerated claims and is simply the best of its kind that I have found.
