This is scareware and tries to persuade you buying their product. It can also hard your Mac. Just stay away. You can use CleanMyMac instead, this is ok.

Downloaded it when I was younger because I saw the ads and I swear I didn't know what viruses were until I got a million sketchy pop ups that opened on tabs I didn't even open. Dumbest thing I've ever done and if you have downloaded it, on a Mac (I only know how to remove on Mac) go to Finder and search up the mackeeper file and immediately click move to trash and also the mackeeper backup file as well. Do not use this, it WILL download viruses and malware and if you did, please download malwarebytes it is very useful and free when it comes to these kinds of viruses and malware.

I thought it was as trustworthy as CleanMyMac X but it turned out to be a scam and they basically tricked me into buying their other services. So, I am definetely sticking with CleanMyMac X that is certified by Apple, INC.

Probably, bad reputation was in a past days.
At least now seems to be fine, much better than Symantec or some other "antivirus"
BTW also they promote a sup.service called Zoom or Zsupport(or zoom-support maybe?) that are really helpful when u in a mess.
Zsupport servcie is a better than Mackeeper for sure.

This site so very unsatisfied for me, also the promotion using a malversting, scareware, clickbaiting, & unhealthy proposal promotion.
They tricking to download & buying this products for revenue ad's scamming to disturbing user rest of the world.

The site is not made by Apple. Thier are tons and I mean tons of viruses and ads. It slows down your computer so bad. Don't every download and if you see your friend or anyone having it tell them to delete it. Even more evidence, when you delete it says "We don't want you to go, we care about you! We will give you the biggest upgrade to you for FREE." Sound fishy?

underhand tactics to install - and make it difficult to uninstall their software - been suspicious of this company as long as it has been around - they have no respect - and dump all their apps onto ur computer

MacKeeper is malware disguised as anti-virus and clean-up utility. The worst kind of scummy. AVOID. I say this with 20 years of Mac IT consulting experience to back me up.

Ca fait longtemps que j'utilise ce logiciel et je n'ai jamais vu de publicités et il fonctionnait bien je trouve sauf lorsque je fais évoluer mon système d'exploitation Mac, là Mackeeper ne s'ouvre plus ! Il faut attendre leur dernière version et réinstaller ! En attendant, je pense qu'ils escroquent les clients en rapport au fait qu'il ose prélever en renouvellement automatique sans vôtre consentement !!! De plus non seulement c'est cher mais ils m'ont prélevé 1,85€ de trop ?!? Les années précédentes ils prévenaient au moins le client !!! De plus ils ne vous rembourse même pas malgré que je leur ai dit dernièrement que leur logiciel ne fonctionnait plus depuis ma dernière installation de système d'exploitation OSX El Capitan !!! Mis a part ça, il faut savoir que leur dernière version m'a trouvé des malwares !!! Qui étaient bien nichés !!! Donc là en ce qui concerne OSX El Capitan je suis fâchée là !!! Car je n'ai encore jamais eu de virus auparavant !!! Bref, MacKeeper n'est pas un Malware mais plutôt un escroc !!!
