Don't even enter the site because if you do, the site will infect your computer with tons of cyber-pathogens. The site's fraudulent products contain even more cyber-pathogens.
MacKeeper is an aggressively-marketed product that attempts to scare the user into purchasing it by showing a large number of "critical" issues that need to be fixed when scanning with the trial version. These issues will even be found on a stock, out-of-the-box Mac OS X system.
MacKeeper should never be used by anyone.
Questionable "reviews" at different sites. A few of them, but not all, acknowledge that the reviewers directly benefit from the sale of the product.

Annoying popunders from their aggressive marketing
I followed the link for this site at ***** In my opinion, they use the deceptive practice, "phishing" for information, by not disclosing up front that this is NOT free software, but trialware, and ask for your personal information, including a phone number, before they hit you up to pay for their product - otherwise it will not work. Poor ethics, and underhanded in my opinion.
A very very dangerous malware, introduces it´s own software to spy you out.
Infiziert sämtliche Ordner um immer wieder verbindungen zum ausspionieren und zerstören der eigenen zugriffsrechte zu ermöglichen.
Man muss die eigene Festplatte löschen um es wirklich zu entfernen.
Niemals installieren!
Never ever install this, tooo dangerous!
I am confused by the low WOT rating: most common complaint is pop-ups, pop-unders. I have not experienced any of that. This is not to say they don't happen, I just haven't encountered them. Perhaps it is a browser config issue: mine is set to ad-block.
Seems dodgy. Got redirected here by mistake and immediately ended up with loads of pop ups and it was tricky to get off the page. Had to turn off the wifi.
Site (at least the landing page i stumbled across) is 'sneaky'. it links to supposed reviews, but these links are actually download links. However, TUAW does actually have an article (http://www.tuaw.com/2010/06/14/keep-your-mac-tidy-with-mackeeper/ ) on the product, and it seems to be legit. Bad marketing play. It's disconcerting when a site downloads something without making it clear it's going to do so.
