Excellent, highly respected political website. This excellent site is being trashed by political opponents. I like WOT a lot, and recommend it to my friends. Used this software for 2 years with positive results on MacBook Pro 2010 and 2013. Utilities have helped identify and allow me to remove duplicate and unwanted files. Have not seen degradation of MacBook Pro performance. Seems to do what it is tasked with. No issues.

While it is technically not a virus, it does things like detect problems on your computer that are not there, and make you pay for it, and just ruins the experience for the user on the computer. I would recommend just staying away from this crapware. You may also find this software in adware installers like CNET and Softonic.

Mackeeper is a perfectly functional, helpful software. The trial version does nothing, and you need to purchase the full version of the software to do any cleaning. That certainly is misleading. Their website and products are perfectly safe, but the trial version is misleading.

I am using Mackeeper for more than one year to maintain the performace of my MacBook Pro - of course you have to pay for this program but it helps to keep you system clean and your computer free of viruses. Don't know how people can see a Scam - maybe for they have to pay for this program? - or malware / viruses.

Mackeeper ist eine Software, die einem hin und wieder auf Webseiten mit Videocodecs oder Streaming Seiten angeboten wird. Versprochen wird einem die Analyse und Optimierung von Macinsosh Rechnern. Faktisch wird dem Anwender häufig diese Software untergeschoben. Einen echten Vorteil bringt die Software jedoch meiner Meinung nach nicht. Die Kommunikation mit externen Servern ist kritisch zu bewerten.

What a shame! This mob is kosher; they have been victimised by very nasty people. $40 is cheap for a lifetime licence — get a life! Uninstaller does the trick — if there's anything left there's something wrong with YOU! There are no safety issues – and certainly no problem for children..... for pity's sake! What about hoax emails?? I've been a user since the start, and not once — not ONCE have I had any hint of a problem! (pls excuse upper case... i'm going for an aspirin)

I've been using Macs for years (since 1991). There are tons of 'cleaners' out there and I have tried several. I found MacKeeper solid and doing its job very well. I use it to update my software, keep it free from (Mac & Windows) viruses and remove obsolete software. This suite is complete. And it is legit. Never had problems with it. And no, I am in no way affiliated or have any interest whatsoever with the developer.
