WOT is not trustworthy, because dubious users can kill your web-reputation with one klick without due .Some users here have commented more than 1 million Sites. That is not possible in the real life!!!

Since WOT is a meritocracy, the weight of user ratings vary depending on how reliable the rating system considers the user. This is completely different from user levels, and how active someone has been doesn't affect their rating reliability. Rating reliability is determined fully automatically based on analysis of the user's rating behavior. The only purpose for this is to make the system more resistant to manipulation and spamming. If someone tries to abuse the rating system, their ratings are accepted normally, but have such a low weight that they cannot do any harm.
I'm happy I came across this website some time ago. I think it's a good place to check out issues about a website.

For finding safe websites, this tool is great. Though, there ought to be a "Safesearch"-like feature for people either without kids, or using their own personal machines to satisfy their fleshly desires by looking up stuff shouldn't see... not that it's entirely a good thing to do, but it's less about adult material itself, and more about such material as a form of expressive art that WOT seems to discriminate against.

Очевидно, что продажные пидоры, у маил.ру раньше был рейтинг ниже плинтуса, как стали партнёрами - сразу рейтинг поднялся и голосование за комментарии отключили. Кроме мыла можно найти массу других примеров. Идея сайта хорошая - реализация говно. Кроме продажности очень много накрутки, да один час полазить по сайту - сразу видно как накручивают. А кому-то сливают репутацию (конкурентам), но тут за этим не следят, жалобы не помогают.
В общем, пидорги этот WOТ... (минусующие тоже пидорги, видимо заодно с продажными сволочами :)
mass rating tool тоже хрень, 10 одинаковых комментариев вроде "Owned by Yandex LLC." никому ни о чём не говорят, если разрешаете массово ставить рейтинг, то хотя бы без тупых комментариев с информацией из who is

I remember what was the rating of the ***** up partnerships with WOT. And this rating was very low... And now very hight... So sad... You are purchasable, do not deny it.

When someone first hears about the concept behind WOT, their first objection is that someone could easily spam the system with tons of ratings and rate down their competitors or otherwise manipulate reputations, but that's not true. We designed the reputation system to be as fair as possible and very resistant to manipulation.
We also do not tolerate any attempts of buying or selling site's ratings.
Note that unlike normal ratings, which are private, ratings left using the mass rating tool are more transparent, because the user is always forced to leave a comment explaining the rating. The comment also has a special icon on the top right corner that helps you distinguish it from normal comments. Despite these differences, it's important to note that ratings left using the mass rating tool are not considered any more reliable than normal ratings, and have no special meaning when the reputation is computed.
