Regardless of one's personal belief in a service such as this (ID/Fraud Protection), Experian's ProtectMyID is legitimate. I am not commenting on it's usefulness or value, just stating that it is a real service provided by a professional company. It is not a rogue group of programmers trying to trick you or spam you or hurt you. The negative comments on WOT that are leading to a poor review of this company only proves that you must even be cautious with sites such as WOT. I think I may have to rate WOT with a yellow circle due to this very thing. It's nice to have a link rating site such as WOT but it is very imperfect and highly susceptible to subjectivity. Ultimately, we must continue to rely on our own common sense and instincts. And always remember that reviewers are anonymous. You don't really know who they are or who they work for.
I AM CURRENTLY ENROLLED WITH THIS SERVICE AND HAVE NO RESERVATIONS ABOUT RECOMMENDING IT. DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE NEGATIVES HERE UNLESS THE SERVICE WORKS SO WELL THAT BAD GUYS WANT TO SHUT IT DOWN SO THEY CAN DO THEIR THING. I FEEL EVERYONE NEEDS ID THEFT PROTECTION NOWADAYS AND THESE PEOPLE PROVED TO ME TO BE THE BEST VALUE FOR THE SERVICE PROVIDED. DO THE RESEARCH!!!
