Jeeze, people. Read how the site works. Yes, you pay a basic fee to join to get "bids." These bids come out to $0.60 each. Now, you CAREFULLY bid on items you want. Don't get carried away; bid smartly. Once you win an item (easy to do), you pay the additional amount that the bidding reached. Many times, YOU get the item at far below retail, while QuiBids makes a fair amount, too. Case in point: I recently won a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition camera system. Retail value at GoPro is $400. I bid on it and wound up paying $6.95 for it, in addition to the number of bids I placed. Once that was factored in, the total cost I paid for this camera was about $55. I got the product about a week later, and it was in brand-new condition and works like a charm. To be clear, 695 bids means that QuiBids made $417 on that one auction, and since they probably got the camera at wholesale, they made money too. Everyone's happy. For you people whining about this site being a scam: Grow the **** up and learn to read. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this company or their sales model. The only thing wrong is you people expecting to get brand-new products for almost nothing. Shut the hell up you freeloaders.

I don't understand how people can call this site a scam when they are doing everything they say the will do prior to signing up. Great site, frees hipping and fast..

this site is very entertaining. it can be very expensive pass time if you dont watch what you are doing. i have won a few things on this site for cheap, but if you figure what i have spent to what i have won, it is about equal it think. i havent figured it out lately since i just won a few more items. i like quibids a lot, but would love it if they would add more auctions and less items in each auctions. 100+ items in some auctions decrease your chances of winning.

The site is a real site. My friend and I both have won auctions on this site, The winnings range from a gift cards to 55 inch HDTVs, free bids too. The only thing I don't like about the site is the shipping charges you have to pay to get the items won.

I don't understand the poor rating unless people are just expecting too much from the site. It is, after all, a semi-gambling site and, with that, people win, people lose. I have been going to Quibids quite frequently for over a year and have never run into any serious problems, not really even minor ones. I trust the site and feel that it is a safe site with a solid reputation of fairness.

Not sure how anybody could say bad about this site. The shipping is fast, very fast. I highly recommend bidding on only the things that you plan to buy,otherwise you certainly could get hurt. Quibids auction model allows you to buy the product if you don't win, thus applying the cost of bids towards the price. If you are expecting to win on the majority of what you bid on, perhaps you should stick with retail shopping, because it wont happen unless you are Lady Luck :) I like to use the analogy "if there was a local gas station that you could possibly get free gas when you swiped your card, would you not go to that station rather than the others?" Very similar, risk free since, if you don't win, you simply pay retail price, can't loose unless you are wasting bids on things you don't want.

I checked the positive reviews for this site - they all seem to be brand new posters. Could they be shills. I was going to do a test purchase on this site after seeing several ads. After doing some checking, I found much negative feedback about shill bids Site jabber with almost 600 reviews gives it two stars which is rather poor. If you lose the bid, which most people will, you then have the option to buy it at list price. I am glad I found sites warning to keep away as well as WOT giving it a negative rating. I see the responses from Quibids - nothing like robotic responses that almost the same for every commenter. These sites may not be a scam, but they are so close to the edge as to defy credibility. Most people lose everything on these so-called bids. One winner, gets a fair to good deal. The rest get slammed, or can buy it at "retail" prices. The BBB designation is hardly something that is coveted anymore. It once meant something. Sadly, no longer.

I saw no problem with the site. Like many things, you actually have to read the site's explanations of how it works so that you don't misunderstand what you're doing and what your expectations are. Also, it does take a little practice to get the hang of how best to bid if you're not used to this kind of thing, but it's not hard to learn. I signed up, bid on two items, and won great deals. One was a $25.00 item I received for .02 and the other was a $100.00 I got for half price - including the cost of my bids (Actiually, Quibids had it listed for $109.00, but I priced it elsewhere for as cheap as $100, so that's how I measured the actual value of my win.) They shipped the items very promptly.
