sendspace.com é seguro?

This was a find, in terms of speed and how accessible this service was to send large files. I struggled from the issue, both at work and in my daily life, when I need to transfer 20-30 gb data, waiting hours, even days to achieve the final goal. Free opportunity to make it, of course, I was happy once I discovered sendspace. One note, less ads would be better, sometimes I can’t access the website

Just a service to share files and I suppose that such platforms should look like this one. Non-intricate, simple, two clicks and you upload the file and easily form a link to be sent. I know that many of such platforms like Mediafire ad similar to this ask to pay money for faster uploading, having possibiltiy to get a full-fledged coud storage to prolong the period of how long my files can be uplaoded and so on. This one has taken another approach, very simple and user-friendly and this is what I especially like about them. You jsut choose 7 dollar plan and enjoy your choice.

Pages contain several false download links, which sometimes link to "high risk" sites (according to Chrome and WOT). Sometimes you don't even get a real download link on the download page. You get a button called the "quickdownloadbutton" (labelled "Download") which just refreshes the same page but also opens some unsolicited pages in new tabs.

Sendspace is, in general, a decent service. It follows the usual model of file download sites: users can upload content and share link with other users, who can then download the content. Restrictions (such as speed limits) may be placed on free downloads; the site encourages users to upgrade to a 'premium' account that offers ad-free browsing, faster downloads, simultaneous downloads etc. The problem with Sendspace is not with the service itself, but with the advertising it carries. Like many sites, Sendspace is ad-supported. Unscrupulous advertisers place ads on Sendspace that contain buttons marked Download (or interstitial ads that encourage users to click a link to download something). These buttons are much more prominent than the small "Click here to download from Sendspace" links, so that unwary users are likely to click the fake buttons on the ads, rather than the correct links. The downloads triggered by the fake buttons, of course, are installers for adware, spyware and other malware. Users should be extremely careful when using Sendspace, to ensure that they do not inadvertently infect their computer. Because of the high risk, it is difficult to recommend the use of Sendspace or similar services. Although Sendspace is not responsible for the malware-serving ads, it seems to do little to protect users against them. For this reason, it might be appropriate to add an "unethical" note to this rating.

A bad website. I used it to try and download a mod for a game that the author had put on the website. Although I did eventually get the game it tried to get me to install lots of bundled software first then claimed to be downloading while my Anti virus went crazy. It managed to install 4 add-ons into chrome and avast blocked about 10 more attempts by it to install stuff before i ctrl alt del and stopped it then it actually downloaded the file that was free of nasty. Stay away from this website or make sure you have a very good anti virus.

I was sent to this site by someone I trust. I had no ads, no pop-ups and no problem d/l my file. I scanned the file using Webroot SecurityAnywhere, Spybot - Search and Destroy, and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware BEFORE I opened the file. File was clean. I use Chrome browser and suggest never using IE! Your browser may be the reason for problems using this site. I will d/l here again if sites I trust have a link to a file here. The only problem I had was when WOB tried to block me from d/l the file.
