Great site for downloading software for Windows, Mac and Linux. Be sure to download the programs guaranteed to be 100% guaranteed to be virus safe and also avoid installing any extra 'freebies' with the software you are downloading (The publisher put these in, NOT softpedia) for example toolbars/PUP's.

This site is better than Cnet's Download.com, the site is much cleaner and is more descriptive about the software you download. They tell what license type the software has, and if it has an adware license, they tell you specifically what the software installs as a third party product! PLUS they get slim down versions of installers that that don't include optional toolbars, like Ccleaner for example. All in all, that makes things better.
