This site masquerades as the official eMule website. BUT IT IS NOT. They even use the eMule logo.
They distribute modified versions of eMule, which seem to contain malware: See:

I never knew of the "eMule project" until now, but now I do, and installed it thinking it was the real copy of this site, but in some ways it is, and some ways it's not. This site is a downloads site, unlike "eMule" which is a p2p application. This site copies off of eMule by using their logo and name, but it is definitely not the same service. I do not yet know if their software has viruses, as I download a .zip file from this site and tested it with Avira, Avast, and AVG and all of them said that the file was safe. I am going to continue to check if their software is safe, but I believe it might be, and that this site is not as bad as everyone else is saying. But what I will say about this site is that if you are looking for the "eMule project", as the other comments said, visit this link (I recommend you open it in a new tab):
