This site is a very nice place to download open source freeware. But, I noticed that some of the download mirrors are hosted by blacklisted networks such as Softlayer, ColoCrossing, Ignum.cz, iWeb, National Central University (Taiwan), and Optimate-Server. Under no circumstances should you use this site to download any of the great popular open source projects such as Filezilla etc. I don't know exactly when they went rogue, but it's disconcerting to say the least. All of the major projects; VLC, 7zip, etc have their own .org pages and I would STRONGLY suggest you use them and block sourceforge at the domain level.

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, daß ich eines Tages vor SourceForge warnen muß. Leider enthalten die Windows Downloads von SourceForge seit einigen Tagen Schadsoftware, die zu massiven Beeinträchtigungen der Windows Systeme führen. Erste Projekte, wie z.B.
