I had been having 'issues' with my Yahoo sign-on where my password initially doesn't work, but on a re-try and using one of the TEX BOX input screen, I put in the exact same information {User name, Password, and enter the info} then the Password (same as before) works...>? question WHY/HOW-is something going on 'behind the scenes' that might be a 'SECURITY RISK'?. So went to the 'contact us' to ask the question and found the following; "URGENT issue to let you know about. I was asked to 'participate in a brief survey - "to make yahoo product offerings better".. I selected yes-I'm usually interested in this type of survey. I run Firefox (because of enhanced browsing 'security' over IE) as my 'browser of choice' and Yahoo as my homepage. Upon starting the survey, an 'alert' (options) - {part of the 'security' i mentioned} came up from an add-on 'No-Script' which gives you the opportunity to check a variety of trusted sources to get information on the 'behind-the-scenes' Scripts that a website {in this case the survey website} wants to run {BEFORE YOU ALLOW THAT 'SCRIPT' access}. The 'script' in question is ugamsolutions.com which shows the following 'Safe Browsing Analytics'; In the Web of Trust analysis, it is Rated on the 'low' side of 'good' in only 2 of the 4 parameters* (in my mind - questionable). So I then check the Google Safe Browsing Analysis' which is VERY DISTURBING; As follows: ugamsolutions.com was listed for suspicious activity 11 time(s) over the past 90 days. Of the 35 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 2 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2011-07-29, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on ***** Malicious software is hosted on 1 domain(s), including ***** This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS45526 (UGAM). Therefore, I will not participate in the SURVEY, and I am going to question whether or not to keep Yahoo as my homepage - further whether or not to use Yahoo for anything else (e-mail, etc,.et.al) ... I will await a response, before going into the question related to my sign'on that brought me to the help screen initially.
