it's a spam driven site hosted in the UK with links to Africa. The site is not safe and cannot be trusted. It flouts privacy laws and spam laws which are considered illegal in some countries.  It takes your contacts and SPAMS them with Message from (Your name). Repeatedly, this will happen even after you delete your account. Stay well clear of this site.

They have changed so many things on WAYN in the past few years and now It's even more suitable for travellers as not only are you able to look for travel info from the people who actually live in the place you want to visit but you can book a hotel too.Whoop whoop! Great site.

Lots of inspirations for travellers; I love how you can ask a question about a place you're going to, and get numerous valuable tips from fellow members. They're also doing a good effort making the site more and more useful, like adding the hotel booking option for example

WAYN is great for its travel content. Not only can you find out more information about a place, you can interact with other people and ask them about their experiences too, which is helpful when going to a new place. A couple of my family members use WAYN too. We've never had any issues with the privacy settings or spam - as with ANY website, you read everything before clicking next. I will definitely continue to use this website for the foreseeable future.

I signed up a couple of years ago and have really enjoyed the experience. I was planning a trip to Portugal with a few friends in early 2014 so asked a question to WAYN users that had been or lived in Portugal about the 'must-see' things to do. In just over 24 hours, I had 34 replies, all of which were very relevant and really great tips. Thanks to the advice we had a great time and I now do my best to help answer other users questions if I can help with recommendations. Give it a try!

Have been a user from the very beginning. Made some friends, received great tips! Really love to see the website changing and presenting more and more opportunities for those who love to travel! As for the children? Wayn is for over 18s. I believe it is as safe as any other social network.

It's a good website, especially if you are interested in travel. They have recently added some useful tools as hotel booking, users tips and kind of travel guide which helps you to discover new interesting places to go. Of course, this is also the social network, so if you are simply a traveler and not very much interested in interactions with other users, I recommend using the privacy settings.

A good travel-oriented social website with many useful interaction tools (including instant messenger). I like how easy it is to find photos and tips regarding destinations I'm interested in. One can also meet people that have already visited the town in question and ask them for recommendations.

having been on WAYN for a few years now, the site has changed A LOT over the past couple of years. It is now what I subscribed to - good travel content, inspiring images, travel tips, ability to ask questions and just connect with others who like to travel. Emails you get are easy to control. I don't understand comments about the site using contacts - never had this problem - just read the steps when inviting people.... The site is free to register, so you will see stuff like banners, commercials - that's normal for free sites.

I've been on WAYN for more than 2 years and find it to be a useful tool for travelling. If I'm planning a trip I'd check beforehand and ask the people from the destination that I am planning to visit all the key questions and thus get relevant information from people that actually live there or have been there. I find it a lot more informative than brochures that portray everything as "rosey" Would definately recommend the site

The site has changed a lot recently - more travel content there which is great!. I love using it so just had to leave my opinion here. While being in touch with their support team - I know that they're working hard on removing spammers from the site. No idea where the info about stealing your contacts came from - they didn't get any of the contacts I didn't want to import - one rule for all of the sites READ while you're clicking. Site is very safe (would be safe for children as well) - but anyway - to register you need to be at least 18 so this mark not necessary here.

you can accept that someone add you or not. that is up to you. when you want to know who view your profile you can choose to become a vip and pay (or not). Some people use Wayn to get contact with other people but Wayn is no datingsite. Just block people who tell that they are in in other countries than what is mentioned in their profile. Sometimes they are in in Nigeria. I don't trust that.

I had brief dealings years ago (ca. 2008) with an individual in the UK from whom I have had not heard anything since - apart from a couple of Spam mails purporting to come from him, and obviously didn't. Today I received this invitation from "him" again today. Not clear whether "he" sent it or not, but it looks sufficiently doubtful not to take any risks with it. Why not just send me an ordinary email?
