When I first signed up about 3 years ago, it was just fine. I got a 6 month trial, and I did purchase the subscription, however, their magazenes nowadays are nothing but ads and they are charging more for it. They will also SPAM your inbox bigtime with newsletters, and more and more frequently, "GIVE US MONEY!!!" "BUY, BUY, BUY!!!!" etc... They also want you to get their insurance, which they shove in your face. I wouldn't trust a business that is trying to force you to buy insurance while they say they have financial trouble and need money. Hmm, right... Their services have declined rapidly over the short time I've been a member, so I'm going to give up on the subscription once it ends. Don't buy it.
AOPA is a marketing organization that uses it's members contact information to make money selling access to third parties. Those include LifeLock, Bank of America and many others. It has become a prolific commercial spammer and telemarketer that doesn't abide by the CAN/SPAM ACT, it does not honor requests to be taken off telemarketer lists, and it will not honor requests to stop sending spam.
Do NOT give them your email address, telephone number, or home address.
*Was a 20 year member that had to threaten legal action to get them to stop calling and sending spam.
