The site allows people aware of a local problem to put together a petition and spread the word. Very useful tool for this day and age.

Great and popularly used petition site, but NOT for localized petitions. (People from another area can still sign your petition even if it is meant for JUST 1 AREA, and ONLY THOSE PEOPLE ARE NEEDED TO SIGN IT.)
Only other issues I have is that people can and may give themselves irrelevant, fake, or offensive names when signing petitions, which screws up the whole thing. Also, the lack of communication with others, including the founder. I can't get hold of anyone and it really p*sses me off.
But 'tis a good site overall.

Why the fuck do they send a message to me ? This is a spam, and there are more after subscriptions. The causes are maybe great, but they are using bad ways.

Although this is a good site with great aspiration and cause, the instant you sign up be prepared to receive a torrent of email from other similar sites with causes. I have been swamped with email from organizations which I'd never heard of until I signed up for change.org. The majority of them are well meaning but it seems like every day I get a new one sending requests for money or support. Tread cautiously unless you want a lot of email.
