I have four computers from Dell, one desktop and three laptops, and each of them were bought online from here. Their customer support is excellent, since upon asking about a broken keyboard, they offered an immediate delivery the next day to their warehouse in Toronto in order to have it repaired under warranty, and back in four days. Excellent company.
Posting this post from a Dell laptop. When I recieved it the battery was a dud. So they sent me another one in 2 days. The customer support was pretty good and I didn't wait more than 5-15 minutes on hold.
Dell's products and services are excellent. It was their customer support that was lacking.I was transferred three times at a wait of 15 minutes each time to cancel an order.1 hour on the phone and I think the last operator I spoke to was also the one I started with.
I've had great success with Dell Products. I have Dozens of their servers and hundreds of their workstations and notebooks with a very good, but not perfect service record. Their enterprise (servers, storage, etc) line has a superb service and reliability record.
Dell is one of the best PC and laptop makers in the industry. In addition to that, they have a very fast and informative customer support. For this reason, I have always made an effort to buy my computers through Dell. If you're considering a latptop, go with Dell, especially since they just revamped their line and it looks aesthetically pleasing too!
Dell is a great company. They manufacture the best PC and laptops you can get from OEM. If you purchase business systems. The business support is top notch. Even if you are a consumer you can purchase a business system and receive the best technical support available. I had problems with one system out of 40 and it was fixed and resolved quickly. Great company.
