Безопасен ли digsby.com?

The install will offer many extra programs, but they can all be declined. Also, and this is the shadiest part, by default an option is enabled to "allow digsby to perform research". They sell users CPU cycles for income. It can easily be tuned off via the menus. I read the privacy policy, and it seems okay.

The default installation file uses ***** (W3i) InstalliQ installation manager that offers known ROGUE scanner software, and other spy/adware products and or services through PRESELECTED install options; long before you even download the digsby installation file (see my Browser Exploit comment for it's "additional features." This is really strange!! Most of the rating are Green on WOT, and on Mcafee SiteAdvisor its Yellow although the users comments are Green on SA !! Not this the strange thing no .... it is when I installed Digsby I noticed there are 4 Agreement Acceptance buttons are there as follow: 1. is for installing "Digsby" it self ... (this is fine) 2. for installing "PC Confidential" trial ... (this is fine) 3. for installing "Registry Power Cleaner" trial ... (this is fine) 4. the last Acceptance button was to agree to make "My.Freeze.com" as your default web page !!!! "Freeze.com" Rating is RED on WOT & McAfee SiteAdvisor too. This is the strange ... if this site been suggested by Digsby ... how come .. what Digsby didn't test it ??!! So, now I don't know how to rate Digsby red or green or what.!! Note: I am NOT rating the softwares in points # 2 & 3 up.

sometimes i wonder who actually rates these sites. digsby.com is home to the best universal messenger out there. features include - social network integration (myspace, facebook) - encrypted server - skins and themes - email (gmail, yahoo, msn, pop) - instant message pop-ups that you can respond in - integrated spell checker - automatic updates (restart digsby to update) - constantly updated and bugs fixed asap - automatic login to web based emails - parental feature of allowing conversations stored on hard drive (so parents know what their kids are doing) - customizable notifications - remembers your settings. (so no matter how many times you reformat and no matter how many different computers you install it on, once you login in, your settings are downloaded so you dont ever have to set it up again like you do with other messengers) - offers both audio and video conferencing - offers the basics all others do as well (ie blocking) - and more. ALL FOR FREE some i know complain about the digsby version of google homepage but its just like firefox having its own version. if you dont want it, dont check the option to allow it.
