Official website of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The EFF fights for a safe and open web and is responsible for tools like HTTPSEverywhere, Privacy Badger, Panopticlick and Certbot.
The plus is that they push for strong privacy and cryptographic standards, and develop useful programs such as HTTPS Everywhere, Privacy Badger, and Certbot.
Unfortunately they defend some of the more unsavory parts of the Internet such as backpage.com and non-compliant Internet pharmacies, hence my poor Child Safety rating and yellow Trustworthiness rating.
Recommend this as an excellent addition for security. Sends requests for site to use HTTPS instead of simple HTTP. Secure communications with many websites that support HTTPS but not as the default setting.
Very important site.
From their site:
"The Electronic Frontier Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization defending civil liberties in the digital world. Founded in 1990, EFF champions user privacy, free expression, and innovation through impact litigation, policy analysis, grassroots activism, and technology development. We work to ensure that rights and freedoms are enhanced and protected as our use of technology grows."

I really appreciate the informative and salient articles. If I could rate them higher I would.
This is some to the best information that the internet has to offer.
Also see Panopticlick, a page designed to test the autonomy of your browser (lower numbers are better).
Not on the site. Website attempted to do a hidden cookie installation onto home computer. Hidden redirect detected from a blank browser page. The website and users may be under governmentcommercial surveillance.
