This site is simply a bitcoin mining pool that requires you to set up a miner and using the bitcoin address as your mining ID such as in EasyMiner then pay outs will automaticly be sent to the wallet when they come up in the payout que.

Maybe this site is used by some viruses, but therefore the viruses are the bad thing and not the site.
The site is basically a bitcoin-mining-pool and its trustable (I've already mined some bitcoins there).

The mining pool was used to perform a DDoS attack on a Bitcoin alt-chain. The owner of the site openly admitted to doing it here :

Other than that incident, the service has ran without any issues or malicious intent and continues to, although I would still advise Bitcoin miners to use small mining pools or mining pools which require no trust from the owner (eg. P2Pool).

This is a Bitcoin mining site.
It has nothing to do with malware or other malicious software.
The bad reputation is a false positive.

The problem is eligius is just too easy to connect to, and people found to be an unwilling part of a botnet due to malware blame eligius when the problem is much deeper and serious than that, such as why they got malware in the first place. Eligius has been a legitmate bitcoin mining pool for years. Due to the ease of access though, and increasing attention to Bitcoin mining and easy profits, botnet owners have started using their botnet's processing power to (illegally) earn free money.

This is a hobby project run by a serious engineer in the name of science. There is no malcontent of any kind. Been a user for over a year and I can tell a lot of hard work goes into this and the owner is trustworthy.

I am the admin of the core pool for this service (Eligius Bitcoin mining pool). There is no malware/scam of any sort involved. Someone seems to be out on a slander campaign :(

Incase you didn't know, this site is for the bitcoin pool Eligius which is ran by luke-jr.
I'd love to know where the so called "malware" is on this site, it's purely a wiki explaining how to use the pool, and to register your namecoin/bitcoin address.
The site is extremely trustworthy and contains no malicious content.
