I am very disappointed that Facebook places a third party tracking cookie on the hard drive. Each and every application, including the FB thumbs up symbol is tracked. The tracking cookie still follows you after you have logged out of the FB. Also, FB keeps all your private data, including photos. They have publicly stated this property is theirs.

Facebook itself is safe, however may of the apps are not. Facebook does not care about your privacy, so any details you enter are stored and sold regardless of if you delete them.

New 'security' settings leave your account wide open for anyone to see. You can limit a post/pic as far as your friends go, but if they then like or comment on your post, all their friends can see your post.
