Alright, so, I'm doing an essay on the ethics of pornography and whether or not we should accept or decline pornography into society. As part of this essay, I need to gather sources. I came to this site, knowing that it's well known, and cites all of it's sources for peer reviewed articles. What could go wrong? Well, as it turns out, most of the arguments that this site provides are cherry picked from the peer reviewed articles. Hard data does not show that pornography is bad: Just in these specific cases can it be harmful. Can it ruin relationships? Yes, if one partner actively goes out of their way to hide it from their other partner. Makes perfect sense, considering a relationship is built on trust. This site, however, fails to explain that the same peer reviewed article explains that couples who both view pornography actually have a *more* passionate sex life than those who don't view it at all. Can it be addictive? Yes. But this comparison is bad because almost anything can be addictive. I could even be addicted to these M&Ms that I'm eating right now. The site even goes so far as to say that it's the new drug... ... Fine, but drugs ruin your life. Pornography, if used responsibly, does not. With that argument, you might as well say that eating is the new drug: Yes, you can become addicted to eating constantly, but if done responsibly, eating won't ruin your life, in fact, it could make it better. Also, I want to point out that a lot of the quotes that they bring up from pornstars are taken out of context, or are cherry picked. One of the quotes was from Regan Starr. I did a little bit of research on her, and found out that yes, she did have a bad experience in the pornography industry. However, she is just one of so many other porn stars out there, and they cherry picked her situation. You could do the same thing for any industry. In fact, if you do the research, the porn industry actually treats it's employees extremely well. Even Regan Starr admits this. Every star is required to be STD checked every 2 weeks. They're paid a huge sum of money for doing something they love. There's no pressure to enter the industry, and do it of their own accord. And there are safe words that each star can use if they feel uncomfortable. End of rant. I'm fine with your personal beliefs. If your religion states that porn is wrong, then cool! Go ahead and continue believing that! But please, please, please check your sources and don't make information up!

Site aims to educate about dangers of pornography. If you don't accept the site's premise that pornography is harmful, this probably isn't the site for you. Trying to look at this site objectively, it's mostly trustworthy in the sense that it's not a scam or malicious. Of course there is heavy bias and some sections contain questionable or unreliable sources. The opinions are of the conservative Christians, and if I'm not mistaken, I believe the site is run by Mormons. I'm not sure why some users are rating this as not safe for children, the only thing I would be cautious about would be a with a very young child who has never been exposed to pornography and could read something here and peak his or her interest to go look at actual porn, but that's a bit of a stretch. If you don't have a strong opinion on pornography, the site is completely safe, just be aware of the inherent bias and look out for questionable sources, but other than that it has some interesting articles.

This website seeks to spread "knowledge" on the woes of pornography consumption in society, its effects on those who consume it, and why one should abstain. Although it appears to be well-intended, it seems to rely on FUD tactics and unsourced claims. This site caters to those with an agenda against pornography, or those too gullible to research for themselves. I am suspicious of its claims, but it's an otherwise safe site.
