The only reason it has negative things from my rating, is that when you're doing the sponsored things to get free GC(instead of paying money) it sends you to spammy and malware riddled sites, and some offers make you download things. Like, if I didnt have web of trust, I would probably have no computer. Otherwise, the community is good, the purchase of GC is legit, and it's pg-13.

In recent months this site has bombarded my email with marketing spam and has thrown their user's feedback in their spam forum to ignore it. They do not listen to their user base and have shown to ban anyone who even talks out against their CEO. This is a bad practice and one I'm no longer going to tolerate.

GaiaOnline is safe for the most part. I am an avid user of Gaia and I enjoy using it. It has cute avatars that you can dress up, a forum, games, profiles; it's like a Myspace oriented to anime lovers. It's an awesome and kawaii website! However, may I remind all of you that this is a PG-13 website and children under the age of thirteen should not enter this site because there is so much content that you find on here sometimes (like hentai, for example) that would not be suitable for a younger eye to look at. But Gaia does work hard to remove such content from the site. There are also hackers and botters as well--I've been hacked before and I couldn't have my account back, so remember to change your password often~. Also, do not do the surveys that give you the GaiaCash--those are infested with adware, spyware, and malware and they are also scams. The only good surveys are the videos you can watch to earn free GaiaCash--do those and you'll be safe.

still a great site there looking for things like sex, or porn related words. iv'e read there lots of racism but it is easily avoidable. the "free cash" was always a problem when i played, but the site is still enjoyable,fun and an all around great way to spend SOME time.enjoy it but watch where you click

I've been on Gaiaonline since 2006, it's very addicting, but there may be a couple of items for your avatar that is a bit revealing, for instance one of the Christmas items from a while ago is a vest that can be worn zipped or unzipped. Without a shirt under, the girl avatars breasts will be slightly showing, so some items will give a "cleavage" look. There are "beer" and "cig" items as well along with some other ones, but other than that, Gaia is a great site, but it is suggested that kids younger that 13 shouldn't be on it.

GaiaOnline was created in 2003, and ever since grown to a large community. But, lets start out with that this is a PG-13 site, and if your child, under thirteen is attending this site, under a false age then they most definitely shouldn't even be there and 'shame on you' for allowing them to be on. Anyways, moving on. This started out to be an anime site. Virtual dolls, with shops, and shop NPC, who would participate in 'plot line'. GaiaOnline has a fantastic line of artists, developers, coders etc. Not only are these artists very talented, but extremely nice. So, we all thank the artists for making the NPC's, and their shops etc. Though, as this site grew, to now 2010 it's much more vast. Gaia is a forum in a nutshell. One of the nice places to visit, if you're starting Gaia is 'Gaia Community Discussion'. This forum is where you discuss what is going on with gaia. So many things happen around Gaia. Events, EI reports, shop updates, plot updates... All of these forums have rules, regulations and just a little blurb about what the forum is about. So, of course read the rules when you enter the forum and post. Certain forums, have different rules. We all hope that when you join, you'll find your 'home forum'. Other than about the site, the overall attitude of the people there, all honestly vary on the forum you're in. GCD(Gaia Community Discussion) for example, are actually very friendly. While there are other places, like (Chatter Box), where all they do is spam. Is chatting about absolutely nothing, or about Gaia not your cup of tea? Don't worry - Recently they've added on 'Hot topics', as things get popular, they'll make a forum about it! Still, there are SO many more forums that I haven't even BEEN to yet. I'VE found my home. Will you? I bet you will! And I hope you do. I recommend this site to ANYONE. I can't even begin to fathom how much fun people have in this site.

I am a very active gaia member, on 9 April 2011, i logged off from gaia and the next day when i tried to log in, i cant and saying my password is wrong. i tried to reset it using email and the system says theres no username related to my email address. I tried to contact them using email, but email is being rejected instead. I tried to call them but no response. I tried to register another account, system says there is server error, what error? unknown. with my gaia account is being hijacked by another person, i have to live in terror guarding my email and facebook CONNECTED from being hijacked too. This GAIAONLINE management is really such an inconvenience, and i lots of chances that other people will use my offline personal data on facebook and make scams. I would suggest never register in this gaia site cause what do they do when your account is hijacked? NOTHING!! plus even the funniest thing is, "Dont report about your friends account is being hacked or hijacked" <- this is totally unbelievable

***** has been around for almost 8 yrs now. It is a wonderful site targeted for users between 13 - 25. The site is PG-13 But due to users occasional foul language You will see it appear from time to time. The site is great when you want to interact with multiple players or friends from games, to puzzles, forums, movies etc.. I have been a member personally since 06 And have enjoyed my time on the site. The EI (evolving items) are a wonderful new inclusion since about 08. Users will purchase in bulk and wait to see what the next amazing change is. Monthly collectibles are still wonderful as they were when they originally came out in 03. My only negative comments of the site is that due to younger users, cybering or online sex incentives have become extremely overbearing in the towns of Gaia. The new "GET FREE GAIA CASH" Sponsors is a scam in itself. Please understand that the sponsors are NOT UNDER GAIA GUIDELINES. So do not blame gaia for the malware and phishing products entwined in those sites! ( Gaia is attempting to create a larger cash flow to keep the site running by using the sponsors!
