Google is very safe to use, even if your don't have child safety search on, almost all of your searches are safe without worry. Like any search engine, you have to use common sense as well, not every link is always going to be safe so use caution no matter what.

I found this review by Google of their own search service very interesting. I was not expecting this, especially since I've been using Google for several years.
