Habbo has been a part of my life for 8 years. People who get banned for no reason can appeal to get them re established it happened to me.
Just cause you got banned don't mean its bad, and also you don't have to spend money either.
They tend to have horrible customer service as of late. Ever since they became highly money oriented (they always were, but now that is all they do), the game has been horrible.
It is not the small healthy community it once was.
PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS.
Now, I know people are getting all worked up over how terrible the community is. There are people like that ALL OVER THE INTERNET. I know it also seems boring in the first place, but after a while, it gets very, very fun. Its very much worth the money.
I've been playing for 5 whole years, and heres my experience:
I have not ONCE experienced any sort of malware or adwear, I've never been banned for no reason, and I've learned to ignore the trolls (Bad people).
DON'T let your children on the website, though, because they tend to bother the other users, and the other users will get angry at them and probably cyber bully them.
Unless you're willing to teach your child to ignore cyber bullies, not to purposely cause trouble, and not to have cyber sex, don't let any kid under 14 play it.
Oh, and there are censorship options too, if you're uncomfortable with swearing.
Positives & Negatives on both sides. Whilst free to play, many extra features such as furniture, additional clothing and dance moves to name a few require the use of credits which are not as inexpensive as many would like. Children, although reminded to seek parental guidance, have access to credits through numerous means such as mobile phones and in-store scratch cards which I considered to be inappropriate. The site is moderated 24/7 by trained members of staff so every effort to keep children safe has been provided, although the effectiveness of such measures is questionable. Overall a fun website although harsh content in the form of abusive chat and inappropriate comments are likely to be present from members of the community through the chat system provided.
