Linkedin site was hacked and my password published with my username on the web. I don't look lightly on this and have not seen anything that lets me to believe I can trust Linkedin with my account in the future.

I signed up for one month's free profile upgrade. It did not clearly state that they will continue your subscription automatically, and start invoice you a stunning monthly fee!
I thought it was a professional site but now I am really disappointed - just another scam!
Bad show :(
And by the way, The upgrade was crap!

have never had an issue with site and have linked with three others to help me find a job which is harder than cement right now

LinkedIn is one of the most reliable (free) sites for checking work history and credentials. It is not a site for socializing. It is practical, useful. Safe for computers, never any spam.

I find it hard to believe that this site send spam or any form of communication to person without person knowledge. I think what have happen is a friend may look up their name to see if they are a Linkedin member. I have search for a friend I haven't been in contact for 39 years on this site and only three weeks ago he contacted me after he keep getting mails from them that he may have known me. It made my day because the last time we spoke I was only fourteen years old. Stop giving negative light
