This is a utility for logging into computers remotely. Scammers can use it, but only if the victim ALLOWS them to have access. Downvoting LogMeIn is like downvoting the phone company if you answer a phone call and give a scammer your credit card number.

Usually, one would recive a phone call from an "employee of Microsoft" who probably lives in India and would inform you of viruses on your computer and want to help..... However, this is all fake. If you've fell for the scam, you better phone up your banks immediately. Signs of it being a scam: Indian accent. Do not describe any problems, only say "This is problem of virus" or similar If your running Mac or Linux and they tell you about Windows. However, many people are wise to the scam and toy with them for a bit, winding them up before letting them know that it's a scam, which then the "victim" is usually insulted by the technician.

This site is legit and we use it all the time for our company business. It could be used to get into a child's computer if scammed and the child interacted to use the code sent from a bad person, but for most use, this is a great way to remotely help clients.

This is the client site for LogMeIn Rescue. It's legitimate and an awesome tool for remote client support - a very professional company to do business with. I've used LogMeIn for many years. (I understand someone could use it in a scam, but the site itself is legitimate.)

I was contacted by phone by somebody who said he was a Windows Service Engineer and they had noticed a large no. of junk files which were harming my system..I followed his instructions until it became clear that he was about to take control of my PC Remotely, so I abandoned the connection. Definitey looks a dodgy site to me Phishing Scam?
