No respect for authors' rights. No respect for translator's right : On other online reader website, they do care about v2 of scans, publishing different versions of the scans AND mostly, other website give some part of the revenue to the translator. This website just make profits from other people's work (even of people who don't want to make money from it)

A company that owns a collection of website (e.g. mangafox and mangahere) for the sake of making profit from hard efforts of the scanlators. They compress the original "high quality" release to save their server space and bandwidth and then plaster it with ads. This completely ruin the reading experience and environment. It doesn't even end here but just by doing this they earn $1,392,210 a month. . Sure scanlations is in the misty area but it was done for accessibility since the series is not available in some country. That's why the scanlators bombard us trying to remind the reader to buy the book when it's available in their country. But, this company doesn't even promote supporting the original author which is just unethical...

While it is one of the most extensive manga database out on the web at the moment of this review, the ways employed for acquiring these are controversial at best. While the practice of scanlation is foggy, not to say illegal, the fact that this site also disrespect the wishes of those who provide the scanlation, as well as hoarding the profits that they earn from advertising for themselves, deriving it from the work of thirds, should also be considered. The content provided by the site is a mixture of all sorts, so it's not child-safe, and if you wish for a safe manga-viewing, then this is certainly not the site that will serve that need. If you have no regard to those who provide you with your entertainment, both the author of the manga, and the authors of the translations, then this is the site that should best cater to your needs. Else, I'd suggest looking for another sites, such as those of the scanlators sites, or other manga reading site of the like of batoto.net.

To all of you claiming this site is illegal: This site does NOT host manga licensed in North America, and complies with all DMCA takedowns. I've been using this site for a long time and highly recommend it; some manga do contain adult content but are tagged as "mature" and require you confirm your age as 18 or older to view them.

This site have a large selection of ecchi mangas. Some of them are almost hentai. Other mangas can involve violent and gore content. The "child safety" rate is a little too high considering the easy availability of such material. About everything else is a good online reader, with a large selection and message boards dedicated to every manga. Probably the best online manga reader at the day i' m writing this comment.
