So, I've been rating sites for WOT for many years and the low rating, is mildly surprising, it's not completely surprising. This site is very aggressive in trying to get you to subscribe to their newsletter and really wants your email address. The nag screen refuses to close after many clicks and you have to refresh the screen to finish your reading. This is an automatic 0 rating from many WOT raters. We don't want aggressive spam or kids giving out their email. It tracks you with ***** and www.google-analytics.com, which is typical so they can get ad revenue for clicks. Once they have your email they will spam you with updates. Also, the website hits politics and so will get caught up in political tribal warfare that exists on WOT these days. As for the accuracy of their reporting. I haven't read the site for longer than a month so haven't formed a reliable opinion. They have opinion pieces mixed in with news, which I consider a questionable practice. If it's opinion then mark it clearly in the  front page summary with an icon. It's very clear that they won't allow people to make comments that doesn't jibe with the author of their stories.  They are not supporters of readers' freedom of speech.  Polite and well supported disagreement with their stories will not make it through comment moderation.

Normally I trust WOT ratings but I wound up at this site through a browser that did have WOT installed. I was curious as to whether there were now other, perhaps better, alternatives to WOT. One of the top Google search results was an article on this site (see https://movietvtechgeeks.com/wot-web-of-trust-or-web-of-lies/). The article seemed to present a fair and balanced representation of WOT. It also seems quite in line with other site's reviews/discussions of WOT (all of which got "green" WOT ratings). So, my limited experience with this site has been entirely positive and I was quite surprised when I found WOT had given it a "red" rating. NOTE: I do have Ad Block Plus running so I suppose there may be something I'm missing, however ABP only reports one (1) blocked ad which, these days, is quite low.

I'm beginning to think that WOT is totally out of touch with its users. I found dozens of perfectly safe and legitimate sites berated by WOT based on one single negative opinion or third party ratings (like Big Pharma). I have no problems with this site.

I guess I'm in the majority of reviews on this site confused by the rating. I started going to this site daily after their amazing series on Bruce Jenner as they wree the only website I've seen to take three different people with differing believes to show their opinions. That was brilliant and as their are no offending images or language on the site, a ranking this poor seems extremely unjustified. I am assuming that someone on here will give my reviews plenty of thumbs down to dilute it as that what looks like what is happening on here. That's so sad as I just gave this site a good review thinking they were helping to protect the public from bad sites. Not wielding power for no reason. This site is a very good so anyone checking on here should go themselves and see how good the quality of writing is. They are true journalists writing not just a bunch of people running a blog. They obviously take their job seriously and deserve more respect than this site is giving them. I don't know who made someone angry on here, but that has no place when you're running a site based on facts.

okay now, four great reviews and only 1 negative review (which is pure misinformation) and the site is listed as untrustworthy and basically a horrible place for children???? That makes no sense, and I do wonder how a lawyer would love to take on a site that allows this kind of libel. My wife and I discovered Movie TV Tech Geeks News when our son who recently told us he was transgender sent me a link to a series of articles this site did on Bruce Jenner. I had a lot of issues with the subject and their six part series really helped to open both my wife and my eyes open to what our son has gone through all his life. To tag a site that actually helps and informs as untrustworthy says a lot about the trustworthiness of this site. How ridiculous that one persons review can hold so much power when they've obviously got an agenda. I'm making sure to have my friends who love the site put their reviews on here as well, and if this site continues ranking Movie TV Tech Geeks News as unsafe for children and untrustworthy, it will be very telling. Our other son is a lawyer and after the help that this site gave us, I know he would love a pro bono fight.

As a reader of Movie TV Tech Geeks News for years now, I'm surprised that it has a bad rating on here when only one person actually ranked it bad. Every other rating is good so I don't know how the algorithm on this site works. As I said in my other review, I would hope this site would be responsible in rating as there is no malware or andything bad on the site and it's very family friendly. I actually use it everyday for the latest tennis and hockey recaps. I'm definitely going to let other readers know that they need to come over hear and give their honest reviews about this site as it appears someone is trying to hurt it for some reason. It's ashame when sites like this with the best intentions can be used like that.
